So Helpful

This app has been a life saver for our family! Now I know how much money my daughter has, and we can give rewards when needed. It works really well!

Great APP

Great APP! Has multiple currencies available. Great support with quick response if you have a problem and regular updates and features added regularly. Worth every cent.

So far so good!

Seems like a great way to keep track of three boys. They are excited about it too.

Cannot put on other devices

I cannot synch this app on any of my kids devises. I have spent all day trying to figure it out. I put in a help request but no reply. Very frustrating. Ourly.help was so easy to upload and went smoothy on my kids devises with just an email invitation but their currency is only is U.S dollars for chores which doesnt work for us.

Solid app, continues to shine

Ive been using this app for a couple of years now. My children are migrating to brick and mortar/internet banking, but they still rely on me for some purchases, and they always like to keep money in iAllowance so they are covered. Keeps excellent track of chores and ongoing allowances, and Dropbox syncing makes this even more brilliant, as it is always up to date. Thanks!

Constant syncing issues

Love the app. Great interface. Easy for the kids (8 & 10) to use. Will not sync. Works a couple times then nothing. Reset EVERYTHING and it will work a couple times then nothing. I paid for a chore app that would sync between devices. Not happening. Back to the chore charts on the fridge.

Great app. Been using it for years

I keep track of allowances and special spending funds for my two daughters with this app. It is easy and quick to enter items that I buy for them with their allowance - usually because we are out and they dont have their wallets. My eldest loves clothing, so I record a quarterly clothing budget amount in a separate account for her and enter the cost of items as they are purchased. This works wonders to stay within a budget. There are many more features that we dont use; the app is excellent. I have shown it to friends that now use it too.

Helps kids earn and save

I started using this app when kids were earning a quarter a chore. Now they are old enough to earn $10-$20 a chore. They love getting their monthly statements that I email them and seeing their savings grow. I make them save at least 25% and save for charity 10%, they get to choose the charity. Works really well and with a dropbox backup I dont have to worry about loosing my data. Do wish there was a kid version that they could see the account but not do any transactions.

Been using this for years.

We have been using iallowance for years now. I have tested and tried out many other allowance apps, and this is by far the best one out there. My only complaint is the syncing feature. It is a great idea in theory, but the execution is horrible. To sync with iCloud, I cant use it on my childrens phones, since they each have their own iCloud accounts. If I use Dropbox it is very slow and doesnt always work, and sometimes doesnt save my data. I really wish my son. Pups have this on his phone, especially now that he has his own checking account and debit card. I want him to learn how to track his own spending.

Works perfectly for our family

Have tried about 99994858584939 different ways of tracking chores and behaviors and allowance and this is the only thing that we have stuck with. Dry erase chart? Two months. Marble jar: 2 weeks. Paper chart? Forgot to update... This app: months and months of continued use. Worth every penny. Pros: -always available (on my iphone) -emailed the developer direct who answered my questions and implemented one of my requests -being able to customize chores (i.e.: kid one feeds the cat and kid 2 cleans the litter box for twice the stars) -ability to pay out in reward points or $ has really helped Cons: -Only works really effectively on a single device. Sync is a challenge (we just decided on which. Device we track on and email reports weekly for balances) -it would be awesome to have the option to schedule a report to run weekly. But you can send at anytime, so it is a minor con.

Pros and Cons

This app is good, but could use some easy modifications. Pros - allows a check off system for chores with monetary or other rewards. If my kids do their chore, they get that portion of their allowance that day. And it can be divided into financial categories virtually - so portions are automatically divided into savings, charity, spend, etc. No more keeping track of all this for mom and dad. Then I can transfer the correct amounts into bank accounts or payout whenever I am ready. Another pro - each kid has their check list on their phone or iPod and can check it and their balances whenever they want. Cons - We use this app for our middle school age kids. But it has a really “babyish” look. The toy rocket and cartoon pig are embarrassing for them. The technical side is good, but they don’t want their friends to see it. Another con, The kids can access their siblings accounts and all the settings on their own devices. So if you have kids pushing the edge of trust, this wouldn’t work. They could theoretically uncheck siblings work or change settings/ amounts, etc. There are parental controls, but they go too far in the other direction - making each check-off of chore be parent approved prior to the $$ being accounted for. It would be great if this could have a older modification for tweens & teens (style wise) and also if it could have a parent version and kid versions (parents can access settings and all kids - kids cannot access).

Fits the bill

I tried a couple different allowance apps and like this one the best. Its key that I can go back to see descriptions for expenditures.

Excellent for open communication

Really has helped us track what money each of us has given the kids from their allowance accounts.

Great

I love this app and tell everyone I know. Kids are welcome to buy stuff when we go to the book store, toy store, or crappy snacks at the movies, etc but its their own money. And I never have to have cash!!

Pretty good!

I dont carry cash so this really helps kids earn money that they can spend without me having to handover cash all of the time. I also like that we can incentivize things without having to pay money for everything.

Excellent Software for complex allowance

This software is excellent for keeping track of your kids allowance. I have used this software for 9 months and I am not planning on using any other allowance app.

ok

lots of steps to set up, especially when you have multiple kids with essentially the same chores. Doesnt sync back to parent account properly.

Great app for behavior plans!

As a psychologist, I often work my clients who are parents on managing their childrens behavior. This is my #1 app to recommend because it is so flexible and easy to use once it is set-up.

Tried this...there are better

Tried this app and quickly realized that others are better. Between the sync issues and the complexity...I want an app that just works...especially for this price. Too expensive and needs work. Moved on to another to better meet my needs.

Very Flexible

This app has helped streamline of childrens allowance. Great support too after I had to swap phones, the data synced and back in business
